MY PONY: Jerry’s 16th Birthday Bonanza!
Honestly, not loving 90s R&B is on my “Oh no no” list too, Tom, so I feel ya there.
Nothing like a lovely ensemble episode to bring us all back together, right?
This episode was wonderful etc etc (though upon rewatching last week’s episode like 3 times, I like it a heck of a lot more than originally if only for Ben stealing literally every scene)
Tom and Ann: Like, I could ship it if they showed me that there was anything to ship? They don’t seem to like each other and now they’re officially dating and Ann cares that Tom is going to break up with her and idk, I would be on board if there was anything at all there. Just show me SOMETHING that makes me feel like these two like each other at all, other than she’s hot and he’s single. That being said, I thought Tom and Ann each had some really hilarious lines tonight and seeing April react to the two of them was of course brilliant. April in general has really gone up in my books (not always 100% as into her as everyone else if we’re being honest).
Other than that, Sepinwall and I disagree this week over the A storyline because I thought it was very well done and showed Leslie perfectly in character and I loved Ron as her voice of reason or what have you, Andy/Chris/Champion was PRECIOUS omg, DONNA MEAGLE F I N A L L Y girl, Ben’s sleepy hair/sleepy sarcasm/sleepy everything, and Leslie sleeping with Jerry. Also obviously I enjoyed the Ron/Leslie scene at the end because, again, precious.
This episode was more precious than precious, tbh.
And Leslie looked adorable in this episode and her wearing Ben’s sweatshirt was so cute and the TAG, oh my word, the look she gave as she left. Tears, people. Real tears in my eyes.
That’s it.
(edited to add: 30 Rock was amazeballs again this week, The Office was unecessary, and Up All Night was adorable as usual)
